Can a beautifully made garment also carry an environmental message? Artist Nancy Judd thinks so! At first glance, Judd’s creations are stunning and dramatic, appearing as fine couture and refined garments, but a closer look at her recycled fashion takes us deeper into her message. Judd has been commissioned by major corporations such as Target and Delta Airlines to create not only magnificent works of art but also to convey the value of consumer consciousness and the future of our planet. Her creations have been exhibited worldwide, have been accepted into the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, and have caught the attention of major media outlets including USA Today and CNN.
The exhibition is free to the public with a SUGGESTED DONATION of $3 per person. Regular museum hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm. For more information, please call (505) 599-1174 or go online at http://www.farmingtonmuseum.org.
This exhibition has been organized by Nancy Judd and is circulated through GuestCurator Traveling Exhibitions.
